Is this white clay suitable for my skin type, and how does it differ from green or blue clays?

This product uses white kaolin clay from the Valdai region. Among cosmetic clays, kaolin has the finest particle size and the lowest absorption capacity, which makes it the gentlest option. It removes surface oil and impurities without the strong pulling sensation typical of illite (green) or montmorillonite (blue) clays.

Best suited for: normal, dry, dehydrated, mature, or reactive skin that feels tight after harsher masks. It also works well on scalps that get greasy but are prone to irritation.

Less ideal if: you have very oily, thick, or acne-prone skin and want deep pore cleansing — a green clay mask once a week would be more effective for that purpose.

Because it’s mineral-only with no added acids, fragrance, or scrubs, the irritation risk is low. Still, if your skin is highly reactive (rosacea, eczema flare, recent barrier damage), patch-test on the inner forearm for 10 minutes before full-face use. Discontinue if stinging, redness, or itching occurs.
