Is this walnut press cake suitable for baking, and how does it differ from regular walnut flour?

Walnut press cake is distinct from standard walnut flour because it is produced by gently removing part of the natural oil through hydraulic cold pressing. This process concentrates the solid components, resulting in a product with significantly higher protein content (41 g per 100 g) and dietary fiber compared to whole ground walnuts or regular flour. Despite the oil removal, enough natural walnut oil remains to keep the texture rich and the flavor pleasantly nutty, rather than dry or bland.

In baking, this makes it an excellent partial flour replacement. It adds substantiality to pancakes, energy balls, and home-baked goods without requiring strongly processed powders. Because it is free from gluten, dairy, and eggs, it fits well into vegetarian and allergen-aware menus. However, due to its concentrated nature, you may need to adjust liquid ratios in your recipes to achieve the desired consistency, as it absorbs moisture differently than standard wheat flour.
