The formula is a cosmetic rinse-off product, not a permanent dye, so it lacks ammonia, peroxide, and strong alkalizers. However, temporary pigments and fragrance can still irritate a reactive scalp. If you have known contact allergies, eczema, or psoriasis on the scalp, do a 48-hour patch test behind the ear before full use. On very porous or chemically damaged ends — common after bleaching, perming, or frequent heat styling — the cuticle is wide open, so pigment penetrates deeper and grabs unevenly, creating darker tips or a muddy tone. To prevent this, apply a light leave-in conditioner or hair oil to the last 5–10 cm of hair before shampooing; this creates a slight barrier that slows pigment uptake on the most fragile areas. Reduce leave-on time to the minimum (2–3 minutes) on damaged sections. If irritation, itching, or burning occurs during use, rinse immediately and discontinue. Consult a dermatologist if you have chronic scalp conditions or are pregnant/breastfeeding before using any coloring product.
