The product is explicitly not suitable for children under 2 years of age. For children aged 2 and above, use sparingly and only on exposed skin areas that the child cannot reach to put in their mouth — avoid hands, around the eyes, and the mouth area. An adult should apply the lotion for the child; do not let children apply it themselves.
DEET 15% is within the concentration range commonly used for older children in many European guidelines, but individual sensitivity varies. If the child has sensitive skin, atopic dermatitis, or known reactions to topical products, test a small area on the forearm first and wait 24 hours. Discontinue use if redness, itching, or irritation develops.
Do not apply under clothing or to large body surface areas relative to the child's size. Wash treated skin with soap and water when returning indoors or before bedtime. Store the tube out of reach of children. If you are also using sunscreen, apply sunscreen first, let it absorb, then apply the repellent lotion — do not use combined products that require different reapplication schedules.
