This cream contains vitamin C and pineapple and orange extracts, which are active ingredients that can be irritating to very sensitive skin. To reduce the risk of a reaction, start with a patch test: apply a small amount behind your ear or on the inside of your forearm and wait 24 hours. If you see redness, itching, or burning, do not use it on your face.
If the patch test is fine, introduce the cream gradually. Use it every other day for the first week, then increase to daily if your skin tolerates it. Apply it only in the morning, as it contains SPF and is meant for daytime use.
If you are already using other active skincare products like retinol, alpha hydroxy acids, or benzoyl peroxide, be cautious. Combining multiple actives can increase irritation. You may want to use this cream on days when you are not using other actives, or apply a gentle moisturizer underneath as a buffer.
If you have a known allergy to citrus fruits, note that the cream contains pineapple and orange extracts. If you experience any discomfort, stop use immediately. For persistent irritation or if you have a skin condition like eczema or rosacea, consult a dermatologist before using this product.
