I have sensitive skin and react to fragrance — is this cream likely to irritate me?

This product includes a fragrance component to give it a tropical scent. While the base formula relies on babassu oil and other emollients that are generally well tolerated, fragrance is one of the most common cosmetic allergens. If you have a known fragrance allergy, contact dermatitis, or very reactive skin, apply a small amount to the inner forearm and wait 24 hours before using it on your hands. The packaging advises stopping use if irritation appears and avoiding the eye area. For people who prefer completely fragrance-free hand care, this may not be the best choice — look for a product labelled "without perfume" or "fragrance-free" instead. If you do use it and notice stinging, redness, or itching, wash the area with lukewarm water and discontinue use.
