I am sensitive to sugar alcohols or high-fiber foods. What should I know?

This is worth paying attention to. The bar contains sorbitol, a sugar alcohol, as well as sucralose and stevia as sweeteners. It also contains two types of fiber: soluble corn fiber and oligofructose. In some people, sugar alcohols and concentrated fiber can cause bloating, gas, or a laxative effect, especially when eaten in larger amounts or on an empty stomach.

If you know you are sensitive to these ingredients, start with a moderate amount — for example, half a bar — and see how your digestive system responds before eating a whole bar. Do not eat several bars in one day. Drinking water with the bar does not eliminate the effect. In the EU, products with significant amounts of polyols are required to carry a note about possible laxative effects, so check the label for that warning.

This is a normal characteristic of sugar-free and high-fiber snacks, not a defect. If you have a diagnosed digestive condition, such as irritable bowel syndrome, or if you are unsure how your body reacts to sugar alcohols, consult a specialist before including this product in your routine.
