Use a pea-sized amount on a damp brush and brush for the usual two minutes, making sure you cover all surfaces. Twice a day is a sensible routine for a polishing toothpaste. There is no need to press hard: the silicon dioxide microparticles are designed to do the polishing, so heavy scrubbing increases the risk of irritating the gums or wearing exposed tooth surfaces.
Be patient with the results. A polishing toothpaste works gradually, not after one brushing. A consistent daily routine is what lets surface stains be buffed away little by little. It is not a quick fix for deeply embedded discoloration, and it will not remove tartar or replace a professional cleaning.
You can simply use it as your regular toothpaste. Avoid combining several abrasive products in the same brushing session, because layering scrubbing ingredients does not make teeth whiter and only adds unnecessary wear. If you are ever unsure whether a polishing toothpaste is right for your teeth, ask your dentist.
