How should I test and apply this henna if my hair is dyed, bleached or processed?

If your hair has been bleached, heavily processed or chemically dyed, test SHAGUN GOLD on a small hidden strand before a full application. Henna creates colour by depositing plant pigment on the hair surface, and processed hair can be more porous, so it may absorb colour faster or more unevenly than untreated hair.

For a practical strand test, mix a small amount of powder with warm water into a smooth paste, apply it to a discreet lock of clean hair, cover or keep it moist while it processes, then rinse thoroughly. Let the strand dry completely before judging the shade, because wet hair can look darker and warmer than the final appearance. If you are unsure about timing, start with a shorter processing time on the test strand rather than committing your whole head immediately.

It is also sensible to do a patch test before first use, even with a simple botanical powder. Apply a small amount of prepared paste to a small area of skin, rinse after the test period, and do not use the product if you notice irritation. Use externally only, avoid contact with eyes, protect skin and surfaces from staining, and wear gloves because henna pigment can mark hands, towels and bathroom materials.
