How should I start wearing the LAUMA 301 posture corrector?

The LAUMA 301 is a soft posture corrector, so it works best as a training aid rather than something you wear continuously. A sensible starting point is 20–30 minutes a day, especially during activities where your shoulders tend to roll forward, such as desk work, studying, driving, sewing, handicrafts or phone use. During this time, notice the gentle pull across the shoulder blades and use it as a reminder to bring the chest up and the shoulders back without forcing the lower back into an exaggerated arch.

After a few days, you can gradually extend the wearing time if it feels comfortable and your muscles do not feel overly tired. The aim is to improve awareness of posture and help the muscles between the shoulder blades stay active on their own over time. It should not replace movement breaks, stretching or general strengthening exercises; standing up, changing position and relaxing the shoulders remain important during long sitting periods.

Do not wear it around the clock or tighten it to the point where it digs in. If you feel numbness, tingling, significant discomfort or pressure under the arms, take it off and check the fit and strap position. If you have scoliosis, a diagnosed disc problem, osteoporosis, a recent shoulder injury or chronic pain, consult a physiotherapist or doctor before using it.
