How should I position the applicator for the neck and lower back?

Place the applicator on a firm, flat surface and lower your body onto it. Pressing it with your hands usually gives uneven pressure and can make the sensation unnecessarily strong. Letting your body weight rest on the surface distributes the needles more evenly.

For the neck, set the 40 × 15 cm applicator across the back of the neck, just below the base of the skull. Lie on your back, keep your head in a neutral position and relax the shoulders. If the pressure near the skull feels too strong, move the applicator slightly lower, toward the upper shoulders, or use a thin cloth layer.

For the lower back, place the applicator under the curve of the lumbar spine, lie on your back and bend your knees with your feet flat. Bending the knees reduces tension in the lower back and helps keep the spine in a relaxed position. You can also use the same applicator on the feet, calves, forearms or shoulders by pressing those areas onto it; this is a useful way to become familiar with the sensation before trying the neck or lower back.

Start with a short session, about five to ten minutes, and use only as much body weight as feels acceptable. If the pressure is too sharp at first, shift your weight or add a cloth layer. The guidance for this product is to start with short sessions and light pressure, especially on delicate areas.
