How should I introduce this cream if I've never used retinol before?

Because this cream contains retinol, a form of vitamin A that encourages faster surface renewal, it's best to introduce it gradually if your skin isn't used to it. Begin by applying a pea-sized amount to clean, dry skin in the evening, 2–3 times a week for the first two weeks. If your skin tolerates it well — no persistent redness, stinging, or flaking — you can increase to every other night, then nightly as comfortable.

Avoid the eye area entirely, as the skin there is thinner and more reactive. In the morning, cleanse gently and apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) because retinol can make skin more sensitive to UV exposure. The cream already includes UVA/UVB filters, but they're not a substitute for a dedicated sunscreen, especially if you're outdoors.

If you experience irritation, scale back frequency and focus on barrier support with a simple, fragrance-free moisturiser on off-nights. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or have very sensitive skin, consult a dermatologist or pharmacist before starting any vitamin A cosmetic.
