How should I apply Medikomed heel cream to get the most out of it?

For the humectant to work well, it needs water to bind. The most effective routine is to wash your feet, pat them dry until slightly damp, then apply a thin layer of cream. Applying to damp skin gives the hydroxyethyl urea moisture to hold onto. If your skin is completely dry, the cream can still soften it, but the effect is stronger when the skin is already hydrated.

You can use it once or twice a day. The moments that fit most easily into a routine are after a shower or bath and before bed. Before bed is especially practical because the cream has time to work overnight without shoes. In the morning, the surface film helps reduce moisture loss through the day, though very thick shoes or socks may still dry the skin out.

Massage the cream into the heels and soles with your fingers. A short massage helps you cover the whole area, including the edges of the heel and the sides of the sole. There is no need to rub until the skin turns red. A light layer is enough; a thick layer may feel sticky and does not increase the humectant effect.

This product is for external use only and should not go near the eye area. If your skin is prone to reactions, test it on a small patch of skin first and monitor the area. Stop using it if any discomfort or allergy appears. Regular use matters: one application can make the surface feel a little smoother, but the main benefit builds with daily application over time.
