Face: For combination or oily-prone skin, once or twice a week is typical. If your skin leans normal-to-dry or feels tight after cleansing, start with once every 7–10 days and observe how it responds. Pink clay is milder than deeper-cleansing clays, but it still absorbs surface lipids; overuse can compromise the barrier and trigger rebound oiliness.
Body: Once a week works well for most people as a pre-shower treatment. If you have keratosis pilaris or rough patches, you may tolerate slightly more frequent use, but always follow with a rich body lotion or oil to replenish lipids.
Scalp: Every 10–14 days is a safe starting cadence. If you use heavy styling products (waxes, pomades, dry shampoo) or have a naturally oily scalp, you might move to weekly. If your scalp feels tight, itchy, or flaky after use, extend the interval. Always condition the hair lengths afterward — clay residue on porous ends can cause brittleness.
General guidance: listen to the "after-feel." A clean, smooth, slightly taut sensation that resolves with moisturiser is normal. Persistent tightness, redness, or flaking means you're using it too often or leaving it on too long. Patch test before your first full application if you have reactive skin or known sensitivities to botanical extracts.
