The same "start small" rule applies to hair. Rub one or two drops between your palms so the oil is no longer sitting in one spot, then gently press or smooth it over the lengths, especially the ends. This helps the oil distribute evenly instead of leaving visible greasy patches. For long or thick hair you may need a second drop, but it is easier to add more than to wash out too much.

You can use it on towel-dried hair after washing, or on dry hair to tame ends that look rough. In both cases, keep the oil away from the roots and scalp unless your scalp is very dry and you have already used the product there without problems. Applying too much near the scalp can make hair look oily quickly.

This product also contains propolis, not just macadamia oil. If you know you are sensitive to bee products, do not use it on hair or skin. For everyone else, stop using it if the scalp or skin becomes irritated. Since it is an oil-based product, a very small amount is usually enough to make ends feel smoother and look shinier; if hair feels heavy or sticky, you have used too much.
