The key ingredient is sodium hyaluronate, which is the salt form of hyaluronic acid. In cosmetic formulas, this form is often used because it is more stable and can help attract water molecules to the upper layers of the skin. When applied, it acts like a sponge, pulling moisture toward the skin surface and helping it stay there, which makes hands feel smoother and more supple.

But hyaluronic acid does not work alone. The cream also contains glycerin, another humectant that draws moisture from the air or deeper skin layers toward the surface. Together, sodium hyaluronate and glycerin provide a hydration boost that goes beyond just coating the skin.

To keep that moisture from evaporating, the formula includes coconut oil, mineral oil, and fatty acids like stearic and palmitic acid.
