How does cedar nut press cake differ from regular cedar nut flour or fully defatted meal?

Жмых кедровый, 200 г
Question about the product Жмых кедровый, 200 г €7.42 Go to product

Unlike ordinary flour or finely milled nut residue that has been fully defatted, this press cake retains approximately 30% of the original cedar nut oil from the cold-pressing process. This residual oil is significant because it preserves the nut's natural softness and rich, mild flavor, which are often lost in drier, more processed alternatives. The presence of this oil also means the product contains naturally occurring fatty acids, including pinolenic acid, a relatively rare omega-5 fatty acid associated specifically with pine nut oil. Consequently, the texture is closer to a soft, partially pressed nut meal rather than a fine powder. This makes it distinct in both mouthfeel and nutritional profile, providing a more substantial plant-based addition to meals compared to standard flour or heavily processed nut meals.
