This is a loose herbal blend, so it is prepared as a classic infusion rather than a quick tea bag steep. Use roughly one heaped teaspoon (about 2–3 grams) per cup of 250 ml of water. Bring the water to a full boil, pour it over the herbs, and cover the cup. Because the blend contains roots and rhizomes alongside leaves, a longer steeping time of 10 to 15 minutes is recommended — the denser root material needs more time to release its compounds than soft leaves alone. Covering the cup during steeping helps keep the volatile components in the liquid.
After steeping, strain the infusion and drink it warm. You can re-infuse the same herbs once more with fresh hot water, but the second cup will be noticeably milder. If you prefer a lighter taste, reduce the steeping time to about 7–8 minutes; if you want a stronger cup, steep closer to 15 minutes. The blend is meant to be a simple plant-based beverage, so nothing needs to be added, though a small amount of honey or a slice of lemon can round out the flavour if you find it too astringent.
For practical routine, prepare it fresh each time rather than making a large batch in advance — the infusion is best consumed within a few hours of steeping.
