Artichoke extract is a plant-based supplement, but that does not mean it suits everyone without exception. There are several situations in which you should consult a doctor before use:
Gallbladder disease — artichoke stimulates bile secretion, which may be undesirable without medical supervision in gallstone disease or other gallbladder disorders.
Marked liver dysfunction — with serious liver disease, any supplement should be agreed with a specialist.
Pregnancy — safety during this period has not been established, so taking it without a doctor’s recommendation is not advised.
Regular use of medicines — plant components may interact with some medicines, so it is important to check compatibility with your doctor.
Possible individual sensitivity to plants of the daisy family (Compositae, Asteraceae), to which artichoke belongs, should also be taken into account — if you are prone to allergic reactions to plants in this group, take care. In addition, the tablets contain lactose (milk sugar) — bear this in mind in case of lactose intolerance or milk allergy.
The product is a food supplement, not a medicinal product, and is not intended to treat or prevent disease.
