This product is primarily a colour-depositing shampoo; its cleansing base removes sebum and product build-up while laying down direct dye. Aloe vera helps the hair feel less rough immediately after rinsing, but it does not replace the lipid-replenishing and cuticle-smoothing action of a dedicated conditioner or hair mask. For best results — particularly on hair that is shoulder-length or longer, coloured, or heat-styled — apply a conditioner from mid-lengths to ends after rinsing out the tinting shampoo. Leave it on for 2–3 minutes before the final rinse. Once a week, a deeper mask can help maintain elasticity and shine, which in turn helps the colour look more even and fade more gracefully. Avoid heavy silicone-based leave-ins right before re-applying the tint, as they can create a barrier that reduces pigment uptake.
