What does the “Dragon Eye” balsam contain, and what does each ingredient do?

Sugar is listed first in the ingredients, and the main plant component is bilberry extract. This berry is valued for its anthocyanins and other flavonoids — plant pigments with antioxidant properties that help cells cope with oxidative stress caused by tiredness, bright light and general strain. Bilberry has traditionally been associated with an interest in clear vision, especially when the eyes tire quickly. In addition, the berry contains trace elements and organic acids that give the syrup a richer composition.

The formula is complemented by dry extracts of other plants, as well as collagen and vitamin C (ascorbic acid):

  • Rosehip — a source of vitamin C and bioflavonoids, which are often included in formulas for the blood vessels and general vitality;
  • Ginger, mint and thyme — spicy, herbal ingredients that give the syrup a warming and refreshing note.

This combination of berries and herbs makes the balsam more complex: the focus is not only on bilberry but also on plant substances that complement one another. The product should be regarded as a food supplement and a food syrup, not as a medicine.
