Heavily lightened, permed, or relaxed hair has an open cuticle structure that takes up surface pigments more aggressively than virgin hair. This means the aubergine tone can appear significantly darker, more violet, or even slightly blue on over-processed sections, and it may persist for more washes than expected. The aloe vera in the formula provides some conditioning, but the shampoo is not a treatment — it does not repair broken bonds or restore elasticity. Before full application, do a strand test on a small hidden section (e.g., behind the ear) and wait for it to dry completely to assess the true shade. If the result is too intense, you can dilute the shampoo with a regular conditioner or reduce the processing time. Avoid using it on the same day as a chemical service; wait at least one week and ensure the scalp is not irritated. If the hair feels brittle or the scalp is sensitive, postpone use until the hair condition improves.
