Can I use this clay on my scalp and hair, and how should I apply it?

This clay works well as a pre-wash scalp mask for hair that gets greasy quickly. Mix the powder with water (or a hydrolate/infusion) to a consistency similar to the face mask — smooth and easy to spread. Part damp hair and apply the paste directly to the scalp and root area, not the lengths. Leave for 10–15 minutes; you may feel a slight tightening as it dries. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water until no residue remains, then follow with your regular shampoo and conditioner. The clay’s porous particles bind surface sebum and sweat residues on the scalp through the same physical adsorption mechanism described for skin. Frequency: once a week is a good starting point; adjust based on how your scalp responds.
