Botanika Cosmetic Mango Oil 30 ml is a plant-based body oil chosen when skin feels dry, rough or less elastic and needs a richer texture than a light lotion. Composition
This cosmetic oil is made from 100% mango oil, without added fragrance or complex blends. Rub the oil between your fingertips to warm it, then apply to the target area while the skin is still slightly damp from a shower or wash; this helps lock in moisture. Massage in circular motions until the oil is absorbed, which usually takes a few seconds. If the skin feels greasy, use less next time; if it still feels dry after a few minutes, you can add another drop or two. For very rough patches like elbows or knees, you may press the oil in a bit longer to allow the lipids to soften the surface. Because the oil is concentrated, avoid applying large quantities at once; building up gradually lets you gauge your skin’s tolerance. If you have known sensitivity to cosmetic oils or very reactive skin, perform a patch test on a small area (e.g., inner forearm) and wait 24 hours before wider use. The oil can also be smoothed over hands after washing, especially in cold weather, to reduce roughness.
Because the oil contains only 100 % mango oil, it blends easily with water‑based lotions, creams, or balms without altering their basic function. To create a richer moisturizer, dispense your usual amount of lotion into a clean palm, add 1-2 drops of the mango oil, and mix thoroughly before applying to skin. This increases the lipid layer on the surface, helping to reduce moisture loss and giving a smoother feel, especially on areas that tend to feel tight after cleansing. If you prefer to use the oil as a pre‑treatment, apply it first to slightly damp skin, let it absorb for a minute, then follow with your regular cream; the oil acts as a light occlusive that can enhance the cream’s hydrating effect. When experimenting, keep the proportion low at first – too much oil may make the mixture feel greasy or interfere with the lotion’s spreadability. Observe how the blended product feels and performs over a few days; if you notice any heaviness, reduce the oil amount. Always ensure your hands and any mixing utensils are clean to avoid introducing contaminants into the oil or the lotion.
