Medikomed Cosmetic Cocoa Butter is a 100% natural, unrefined cosmetic butter extracted from the seeds of the cacao fruit (Theobroma cacao). Unrefined cocoa butter retains its characteristic warm chocolate aroma and the full complement of its natural phytonutrients — stearic acid, palmitic acid and oleic acid as the dominant fatty acid profile, as well as polyphenolic antioxidants from the cocoa pod, and a naturally occurring minor fraction of vitamin E and phytosterols. Cocoa butter is solid at room temperature (melting point approximately 34–38°C) but melts smoothly and instantly on contact with skin, making it exceptionally easy and pleasurable to apply. It is an intensely nourishing, moisturising and skin-conditioning cosmetic butter — one of the most historically prized plant-origin skin care fats — with a long tradition of use in body care for improving skin softness, elasticity and conditioning. Suitable for use on face, body, hands and hair.

USE: Warm a small amount in the palms until it melts. Apply to skin or hair and massage in. Use on face, body and hands as a nourishing and moisturising butter. Can be used as a hair conditioning treatment by applying to ends and mid-lengths before washing, or as a leave-in conditioner on dry hair ends.

WARNINGS: For external use only. May cause allergic reaction in individuals with cocoa/cacao sensitivity. Do not use if allergic to any ingredient. In case of eye contact, rinse with water. Keep out of reach of children.
