Medikomed Cosmetic Castor Oil 100ml is a pure cosmetic-grade castor oil from OOO HPF Medikomed (Russia) — 100% Ricinus communis seed oil — one of the most widely known and used cosmetic plant oils in hair and skin care. Castor oil (Ricinus communis seed oil) is extracted by cold pressing or solvent extraction from the seeds (castor beans) of the castor plant, a tropical shrub native to tropical Africa and India and widely cultivated throughout warm regions. Castor oil has a very distinctive composition: it contains approximately 87–90% ricinoleic acid — a unique hydroxy fatty acid not commonly found in other plant oils — which gives castor oil its characteristic high viscosity, very thick and sticky consistency, and its exceptional emollient, moisturising and cosmetic hair-conditioning properties. In cosmetics, castor oil is valued particularly for its use in eyebrow and eyelash care and hair conditioning: it provides a thick, nourishing, moisturising cosmetic coating that helps to visually improve the appearance of hair density and lustre. USE: For eyebrows/eyelashes: apply a small amount with a cosmetic brush or cotton bud to the brows or lashes. For hair care: apply to hair with gentle warming (massage into roots and along hair), leave for 30–60 minutes under a warm towel, then wash out thoroughly. For face care: apply along facial massage lines. Can also be added to cosmetic creams, balms and masks.
WARNINGS: For external cosmetic use only. Avoid contact with eyes (eyelash/eyebrow application is an exception — apply carefully near but not directly into the eye). In case of allergic reaction, discontinue use. Not a medicinal product. Keep out of reach of children.
