Bubble (oxygenating) masks work through an effervescent chemistry mechanism: upon contact with the skin and air, certain reactive compounds in the mask formula generate microbubbles of oxygen gas. These bubbles physically lift and release impurities, excess sebum and dead skin cells from the surface of the pores, providing a deep mechanical cleansing action through the foam-lift mechanism. Simultaneously, the oxygen micro-delivery provides a freshening, circulatory-stimulating effect at the skin surface. Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is added as the principal botanical active, providing curcuminoids (curcumin, demethoxycurcumin, bisdemethoxycurcumin) — intensely yellow-pigmented phenolic compounds known for their strong antioxidant activity and skin-conditioning properties in cosmetics.
