What this cream is
Planeta Zdorovia MOЁ SOLNYSHKO “Clean Nose” children’s nose cream is a gentle cosmetic cream for the skin around the nose during a cold. Parents usually choose this type of product when frequent wiping leaves the area red, dry or rough. Rather than acting inside the nose, the cream is applied to the outer nose area to soften the skin, reduce the feeling of tightness and make it easier to keep the nose contour in good condition.
Key components
The formula combines moisturising and softening ingredients with aromatic plant components:
- Glycerin — helps attract water to the upper layers of the skin, which is useful when the nose area is exposed to dry indoor air and repeated contact with tissues.
- Mineral oil and lanolin-derived emollients — form a light protective layer that helps reduce moisture loss and friction.
- Bisabolol — a soothing component often associated with chamomile, included for a calmer skin feel.
The herbal part of the composition adds a fresh, cooling aroma and a clearer sensory feel when applied near the nose:
- Spruce extract
- Sage extract
- Peppermint oil
- Eucalyptus oil
These ingredients are commonly used in balms and cold-season cosmetics. This is not the same as a medicinal decongestant effect, but many families like this kind of cream as part of evening use or before going outdoors in windy weather, when the skin around the nostrils tends to become more irritated.
How to use it
This children’s cream is suitable for households looking for a simple external product for the cold season, especially when a child’s nose area becomes chapped from repeated cleaning. It fits best as a thin layer on clean skin around the nostrils, not inside the nasal passages.
Important notes
- Because the formula contains essential oils such as peppermint and eucalyptus, and also plant extracts, it is wise to watch the skin’s reaction the first time.
- Avoid use on damaged skin.
- If the child is very sensitive to fragranced products, check tolerance with extra attention.

Customer Questions
The cream is intended for external use only on the skin that surrounds the nostrils. Before each application wash the area gently with lukewarm water and pat it dry, because any residual moisture or mucus can prevent the cream from spreading evenly. Take a tiny amount — about the size of a grain of rice or a small pea — onto the tip of a clean fingertip. Dot the product onto the skin in three places: just outside the left nostril, just outside the right nostril, and a small spot on the bridge of the nose if the skin there also feels tight. Using the fingertip, spread the cream in a thin, even film; the goal is a barely visible layer that feels slightly moist but does not leave a greasy film. The thinness is important because the product is formulated to sit on the surface and provide a protective barrier rather than to be absorbed deeply. You can repeat the application two or three times a day, for example after each nose‑blowing session, before going outdoors in cold wind, or before bedtime when the skin often becomes driest. If you notice that the skin feels overly coated or that the child rubs the area vigorously, reduce the amount or the frequency; the cream is effective with very little product. After the final application of the day you may leave the layer on overnight, but be sure to remove any excess in the morning by washing the face with a mild cleanser and repeating the normal drying routine. The cream does not need to be rinsed off after a short period; it is designed to stay in place until the next application, which helps maintain continuous protection against the drying effects of indoor heating and outdoor air. Store the tube in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and keep the cap tightly closed to prevent the essential‑oil fragrance from evaporating. The product does not contain preservatives that extend shelf life indefinitely, so write the opening date on the packaging and discard the tube after twelve months, even if some cream remains, to avoid using a formula that may have begun to change in scent or texture.
Because the formula contains peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil and several plant extracts, the cream has a noticeable menthol‑like scent that many parents find pleasant, but the same ingredients can also trigger a mild reaction in children with very sensitive or allergy‑prone skin. The safest way to introduce the product is to perform a patch test: apply a pea‑sized amount of the cream to a small area of skin on the forearm or behind the ear, leave it for fifteen minutes, then rinse with water and observe the spot for any redness, itching or swelling over the next few hours. If no irritation appears, it is generally considered safe to use on the nasal area, but you should still avoid applying the cream on broken, cracked or inflamed skin, as the essential oils can increase the sensation of stinging on compromised barriers. Parents of children who have known sensitivities to menthol, camphor, or other cooling agents should read the ingredient list carefully and may prefer a fragrance‑free alternative. The cream is not intended for use inside the nasal passages, and accidental contact with the inside of the nose can cause discomfort; if this happens, rinse the area gently with water and monitor for any prolonged irritation. In rare cases, even without a known allergy, a child may develop a contact dermatitis after repeated applications, which is signaled by persistent redness, scaling or a rash that does not improve after a couple of days of use. If any of these signs appear, discontinue the product immediately and consult a pediatrician or dermatologist for advice. The presence of bisabolol and lanolin‑derived emollients helps to soothe the skin, but they do not guarantee immunity from irritation, so the key is to start with the smallest amount and watch the skin’s response. The product is also not a substitute for a medicated nasal ointment; it only provides surface comfort and does not treat congestion or underlying respiratory issues. When using the cream together with other topical products, such as a moisturizing lotion for the rest of the face, apply the cream first, let it absorb for a minute, and then layer the other product if desired, but avoid mixing it with strong active ingredients like retinoids or acids, which could alter its stability.
