The gel features two key natural actives: blue-green algae extract (marketed as "blue retinol" — a phycocyanin-rich cyanobacterium extract with antioxidant skin-conditioning properties and natural protein complexes) and papaya (Carica papaya) extract, which contains papain, a naturally occurring plant protease that gently helps to dissolve excess sebum and desquamated cells from the skin surface, normalising the activity of the sebaceous glands and refining the skin texture.
