White mumio is a natural mineral-organic exudate from the high-mountain rock formations of Siberia and Central Asia, containing a complex of fulvic and humic acids, mineral trace elements and organic phytocomponents. Dihydroquercetin (DHQ, taxifolin) is a bioflavonoid predominantly obtained from the heartwood of the Siberian larch (Larix sibirica) or the common European larch (Larix decidua), where it occurs in high natural concentrations. Dihydroquercetin has a potent hydrogen-donating antioxidant mechanism, with measured in vitro antioxidant activity among the highest of natural bioflavonoids. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is the well-established water-soluble antioxidant vitamin. Authorised EU health claims for vitamin C include: vitamin C contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
