Sea Buckthorn Essential Oil, 10 ml – Medikomedi

Sea buckthorn oil is a plant-based product, a source of vitamins A, E, K, stimulates reparative processes in the skin and mucous membranes, accelerates their epithelialization, inhibits gastric protease activity, has anti-inflammatory, general strengthening, antioxidant, and cytoprotective effects. Due to the presence of fat-soluble bioantioxidants, it reduces free radical processes and protects cell membranes from damage; lowers cholesterol and lipid levels in the blood.

Of all known plant oils, only sea buckthorn contains vitamin A in the most active form as beta-carotenoids and in maximum quantities. In the last decade, scientists worldwide have unanimously recognized the outstanding healing properties of this provitamin.

Pharmacodynamics

Indications

• Radiation damage and burns of the skin and mucous membranes;
• Colpitis, endocervicitis, cervical erosion;
• Stomach and duodenal ulcers, hyperacid gastritis, chronic colitis, nonspecific ulcerative colitis (as part of combined therapy);
• Acute and chronic erosive-ulcerative lesions of the oral mucosa, periodontium;
• Atrophic pharyngitis, laryngitis;
• Hemorrhoids, anal fissures, proctitis;
• Prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis;
• Oncological diseases;
• Increasing body resistance to harmful environmental factors;
• Reduced vision.

Used for vitamin A, E deficiency, anemia, as well as in complex therapy and prevention of stomach and duodenal ulcers.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity.
• Acute inflammatory processes in the gallbladder, liver, pancreas;
• Cholelithiasis.
• Individual intolerance to food supplement components.

Method of use and dosage

Locally, internally, rectally, inhalationally. Locally in the form of oil dressings every other day (until granulations appear), after cleaning the affected area from granulations.

In gynecology used for lubrication or tampons: for colpitis and endocervicitis, lubricate the vaginal walls, previously cleaned with cotton balls; for cervical erosion, apply tampons soaked with 5–10 ml of the oil firmly to the erosive surface, changing them daily. The course of treatment for colpitis is 10–15 procedures, for endocervicitis and erosions – 8–12 procedures. If necessary, repeat the course after 4–6 weeks. For oral mucosa and periodontium diseases, apply in the form of applications or turunds soaked in the oil, the course of treatment is 10–15 procedures.

Internally, before meals, 1 tsp or 8 capsules 2–3 times a day. For stomach and duodenal ulcers – 1 tsp 3 times a day, 30–40 minutes before meals and 1 tsp before sleep. For duodenal ulcers, gradually increase the oil dose to 1 tablespoon. If there is significantly increased acidity of gastric juice, it is recommended to take the oil with still alkaline mineral water. The course of treatment is 25–30 days. As a general tonic – 2–3 tsp per day on an empty stomach.

Rectally, in the form of microenemas, after bowel movement, introduce deeply into the rectum. For adults and children over 14 years old – 0.5 g 2 times a day, the course of treatment is 10–15 days. For children under 6 years old – 0.5 g once a day; 6–14 years old – 0.5 g 1–2 times a day; the course of treatment is 14 days and more. If necessary, repeat the course after 4–6 weeks.

Inhalationally, 15 minutes daily, for upper respiratory tract diseases, the course of treatment is 8–10 procedures.
