VITATEKA Salicylic Acid 1% 25 ml is a topical salicylic acid solution for skin areas that tend to feel rough, become congested or develop visible flaking. People usually choose this type of product when they want a simple keratolytic step: salicylic acid helps loosen the bonds between dead surface cells, so they detach more easily and the skin surface feels smoother.
What Makes BHA Different
Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid (BHA). Unlike many water-focused exfoliating acids, BHA is known for working well on skin that produces more sebum, because it can act inside the pore opening as well as on the surface. In a 1% concentration, it is generally seen as a milder option for targeted use.
The formula is very short:
- Water — the base of the solution
- Alcohol — helps the solution dry quickly and makes spot application easy
- Salicylic acid 1% — the active keratolytic ingredient
How and When to Use It
This solution is suited to targeted use rather than broad application. It can fit into a skincare regimen as an occasional step on:
- Individual blemish-prone zones
- Rough patches
- Areas where buildup of dead cells makes the skin look uneven
Cautions
Because the solution contains both acid and alcohol, it may feel drying on delicate skin. Keep the following in mind:
- Avoid the eye area, mucous membranes and damaged skin
- Do not combine with several other active products at once
- If your skin is reactive, easily stings, or already uses acids, retinoids or strong exfoliants, introduce salicylic acid carefully and watch how the skin responds
- A small test on a limited area is a sensible start, especially for sensitive skin
