Hematogen is taken orally. As a prophylactic measure, children over 2 years of age, adolescents, and adults are prescribed 1-2 bars 2-3 times a day for 1-2 months. During the recovery period after iron-deficient anemia, the drug is prescribed at a dose of 2 bars per day for 2 months.
