Neroli essential oil is highly concentrated and should always be diluted before skin application. For facial use, a typical dilution ratio is 1-2% (1-2 drops of neroli oil per 1 teaspoon of carrier oil such as jojoba, sweet almond, or grapeseed oil). For body applications, a 2-3% dilution (2-3 drops per teaspoon) is common. Mix the diluted oil thoroughly and perform a patch test on a small area of skin 24 hours before full use to check for sensitivity. Avoid applying near mucous membranes, genitals, or broken skin. Store diluted mixtures in a cool, dark place and use within 3-6 months for optimal efficacy.
