Why should you drink plenty of water when taking MKC Ankir-B?

Microcrystalline cellulose is an insoluble dietary fibre that is not digested in itself. Its mechanism of action depends entirely on water: once in the stomach and intestines, MCC binds fluid and increases in volume. It is this swelling that creates a feeling of fullness and helps maintain a normal bowel rhythm.

If there is too little water, the fibre cannot fully do its job. Moreover, with insufficient fluid intake, insoluble fibre can, on the contrary, make it harder for the intestinal contents to move along — especially in those who are already prone to constipation or drink less than 1.5–2 litres of fluid a day.

A practical rule: wash down each portion of tablets with a full glass of water (200–250 ml) and keep an eye on your overall fluid balance throughout the day. Tea, coffee and sugary drinks do not replace plain water in this context. If you are just starting to take MCC, increase the dose gradually — this gives your digestive system time to adapt without discomfort.
