It can feel drying, especially if your skin is already dry or easily irritated. This is a classic soap base, and soap-based cleansers remove oils from the surface more thoroughly than very mild cream or gel cleansers. The red clay adds to that effect because it helps absorb excess oil during washing.
The formula also includes glycerin, which helps reduce the dry, tight feeling that stronger cleansers can sometimes leave behind, and olive fruit oil, which adds a softer touch to the wash. So for many people the result is clean and fresh rather than stripped. The way to judge is by how your skin feels after rinsing: if your face feels tight, itchy, or unusually squeaky shortly after washing, that is a sign to use the soap less often and to follow with a suitable moisturiser.
On the body, the same logic applies. Use it mainly on oilier zones such as the back, shoulders, or chest, and keep the rest of your cleansing routine gentle. On very dry or compromised skin, this product is probably not the best choice for daily use. Avoid the eye area, and stop using it if irritation or sensitivity appears.
