Will this conditioner weigh down my fine or thin hair? — Balm strengthening with hemp oil 400ml – Rubella

Yes, this is a richer conditioner because it contains hemp oil and keratin, which are emollient and film-forming ingredients. On very fine or thin hair, applying too much or spreading it all the way to the roots can leave a coating that feels heavy or greasy. That does not mean you should avoid it — it just means you need to adjust how you use it.

Start with a small amount, about the size of a hazelnut, and work it mainly through the mid-lengths and ends, where hair is usually drier and more damaged. Avoid the scalp and the first few centimetres of the roots unless your hair is extremely dry all over. If you find the hair still feels heavy after rinsing, use even less next time or rinse with lukewarm water for a few extra seconds. You can also try applying it only to the ends, especially if your roots tend to get oily quickly.

For fine hair, it is often enough to use this conditioner once or twice a week instead of after every wash. On other days, you can simply rinse with water or use a very light leave-in product. This way you get the smoothing benefit without the weight.
