The product is designed with thin, dry, or damaged hair in mind, so the base formula aims to add smoothness and softness without a heavy coating. Coconut oil and hydrolysed keratin work on the hair surface to reduce friction and frizz, but they are not thick butters or heavy silicones that typically drag fine hair down.
To keep volume at the roots, apply conditioner only from the ears down — mid-lengths to ends — where hair is older and more prone to tangling and dryness. Use a small amount (roughly a hazelnut size for shoulder-length hair) and distribute it evenly with a wide-tooth comb. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water until the hair feels clean, not slick.
If you still notice a lack of lift at the crown, try alternating: use the conditioner every other wash, or apply it before shampooing as a pre-wash treatment on the ends, then shampoo as normal. This gives the conditioning benefit to the lengths while leaving the roots free of any residue.
