Will the shimmer transfer onto my clothes, and how can I minimise that?

Some transfer is possible with any shimmer body product, because the pigments sit on the surface of the skin rather than absorbing into it — that is exactly what makes them reflect light. You can keep transfer to a minimum with a few habits:

  • Use a thin, even layer. A small amount spread well gives a more uniform glow and leaves less loose pigment that can rub off. Concentrated blobs in one spot are the main cause of glitter marks on clothing.
  • Let it settle before dressing. The milk has a lighter texture than a rich body cream and absorbs relatively quickly, but give it a few minutes — this matters most with light or dark fabrics, where stray shimmer is more visible.
  • Apply where fabric contact is low. The product works best on areas where light naturally catches the skin — legs, shoulders, collarbones, arms. If you are wearing a fitted top, you may want to keep it off the areas the fabric will constantly press against.
  • Wash hands after applying so you do not carry shimmer onto your phone, bag or clothes afterwards.

If some particles do end up on fabric, they usually come off in a normal wash cycle; brushing dry fabric or using a lint roller before washing helps with delicate materials.
