Will it stain my towels, pillowcases, or clothes?

The brand states that Bad Girl Mad Orange does not migrate after colouring, meaning the pigment is less likely to transfer during later hair washing, even with hot water. This is a practical advantage if you want to avoid staining towels, pillowcases, or clothing after the initial rinse. However, during the first application and the first few washes, you should still take precautions: use dark towels, wear an old shirt, and consider protecting your pillowcase.

After the first rinse, the risk of transfer is minimal, but it is not zero – especially if you have very long hair or if the pigment is absorbed strongly. To minimise any risk, you can rinse your hair thoroughly after washing and dry it with a dark towel. Avoid contact with your eyes and irritated skin, and if you have sensitive skin, do a patch test before the first use.

If you are concerned about staining your skin during application, you can apply a thin layer of barrier oil or a protective cream around your hairline and ears before applying the dye. This is a common practice with direct dyes and helps keep the skin clean. After the application, wipe off any excess product immediately to avoid it sitting on the skin.
