Will a red tone show on dark hair, or only on light or bleached hair?

The final color depends on your starting base. On light, bleached, or grey hair the pigment is usually more visible and the red appears brighter. On darker hair it typically works more like a rich tint and shine booster: you may see a colored glow and deeper gloss, but not a dramatic red change.

If your hair is very porous, heavily lightened, or sensitive from earlier chemical processes, the result can be stronger or less even. Because the product coats only the outer layer, dark hair will not become permanently red after one wash. If your goal is a clear, vivid red on dark brown or black hair, this shampoo alone may not achieve that.

For a more realistic preview, test a hidden section first and look at the dry hair in natural light. Wet hair often looks darker, so judging the color while wet can be misleading.
