Colored hair is usually more porous than natural hair because the coloring process raises the outer layer of the cuticle, so it no longer lies flat. This makes pigment wash out faster and leaves the hair feeling drier, rougher, and less shiny. This balm is built around that problem:
- Slightly acidic pH — it helps the cuticle close more neatly, which makes the hair surface smoother, helps it reflect light better, and keeps the shade looking fresh for longer.
- Lipid complex — replenishes moisture lost after coloring and supports the protective layer of the hair shaft.
- Organic camellia oil — a smoothing and softening oil that reduces roughness and adds gloss without making the hair feel heavy.
- Organic Arctic raspberry extract — brings antioxidant compounds that may help the hair fibre deal with external stress such as free radicals.
- UV filters — provide an extra layer of protection against sunlight, which is one factor in color fading.
The result is a maintenance balm for hair that has been dyed, highlighted, or tone-treated. It's meant to be used between salon visits or home coloring sessions, together with gentle cleansing products for color-treated hair. It does not re-color the hair or reverse damage—it keeps the existing condition as manageable as possible.
