These are the same type of fat-soluble antioxidant pigments found in carrots and other orange vegetables, and they give the oil its rich, characteristic hue.

Because these pigments are highly concentrated in oil form, they can potentially transfer to fabric, bedding, or towels. To minimize this, apply only a few drops at a time and massage it in thoroughly until absorbed. It's also practical to use this product in the evening or at times when you won't be wearing light-colored clothing shortly after application.
