Who should be careful with this product?

This is a sweet food product, not a medicine, and it is not a substitute for a balanced diet. It contains added sugar, whole pine nuts and naturally occurring plant resins, so the main point is moderation.

  • Sugar. The syrup is made by slowly simmering green cones with sugar, so it is a concentrated source of sweetness. If you are watching your sugar intake, use smaller portions and count it as part of your daily sugar allowance.
  • Nuts. The kernels are seeds of Pinus sibirica. Anyone with a known allergy to nuts or seeds should avoid this product unless a doctor advises otherwise.
  • Conifer sensitivity. The syrup contains resins and essential oils from young pine cones; if you react to coniferous plants or their pollen, this is not the right product for you.
  • Pregnancy and small children. The product is strongly aromatic and sugary, which is reason enough to use it cautiously during pregnancy and when feeding young children.

It is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any disease. If you have a chronic condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take medication, consult a specialist before adding it to your menu.
