This children's corrector is most often used during activities where posture tends to collapse forward: schoolwork, homework, reading, and similar desk-based tasks. It is not intended to be worn all day or during sleep, unless a specialist gives different instructions.
A typical approach is to use it during one study session or for a defined period, then remove it for movement and play. If a paediatrician, orthopaedist or physiotherapist has recommended a schedule, follow that schedule instead of improvising. If the child is not used to wearing a corrector, it may be more comfortable to start with shorter periods and check the skin underneath afterwards for redness or marks.
Because the corrector is a mechanical aid, it only gives a light reminder while it is on. For the effect to be of longer-term value, it should be combined with regular breaks, movement and a well-adjusted chair and desk; the corrector is not a substitute for treatment or therapy.
