The gel-balm is described for use after physical strain or sports recovery, long periods of sitting, seasonal sensitivity to cold, and age-related mobility changes. It is not intended as a sports warm-up product. Using a strong warming balm before exercise can mask how your body feels and may be uncomfortable when your skin is already warm from activity. Reserve it for the stage when your muscles and joints feel overworked, tight, or stiff.
A practical routine is to apply it after a shower, when the skin is clean and warm, and then massage it gently into the area with light rubbing. This helps create extra warmth and supports the massaging action. After application, give yourself a few minutes for the balm to absorb and for the heat to settle before getting dressed. The gel texture absorbs better than a heavy ointment, so a small amount is usually enough.
For days with physically demanding work, the same logic applies: use it at the end of the day or during a break when the affected area feels tense, not before the activity. If you use other creams or patches on the same area, let one product absorb before applying the other, and avoid overlapping if it causes irritation. As with any external product, if you have a chronic joint or muscle condition or take regular medication, a quick check with a specialist is a sensible precaution.
