The product works best on skin that's still holding a little water — within three minutes of stepping out of the shower or bath is ideal. Pat yourself dry with a towel but leave the skin marginally damp, then dispense a modest amount (roughly a 10-cent coin size per limb) and spread in long, gentle strokes. The emulsion is designed to absorb quickly; most people find it's dry to the touch in two to three minutes, so you can put on clothes without waiting.
Focus on areas that lose moisture fastest: lower legs, forearms, elbows, knees. If you have very dry patches, you can layer a second thin pass on those spots once the first layer has sunk in. There's no need to massage vigorously — the formula spreads on its own. For daytime use, follow with sunscreen on exposed areas if you'll be in direct sun. At night, it can be the final step in your body routine.
