What should I do after waxing to avoid irritating freshly depilated skin?

After waxing, the immediate step is to use the included aloe wipe to remove leftover wax and soften the skin. After that, it is best to give the skin a little time before applying anything heavy or active. The product itself already contains sunflower oil and calendula extract, so the treated area has some soothing coverage from the treatment itself.

The most important caution is to wait before using strong acids, retinol or heavily fragranced body products on the waxed area. These can irritate skin that has just been through a mechanical pull, because the upper layer is temporarily more vulnerable. A gentle moisturizer you already know suits you is usually fine, but avoid products with obvious fragrance or active ingredients for at least a few hours.

If you are going out in the sun, keep the waxed area covered or use sun protection, since freshly waxed skin tends to react more strongly to UV. A little redness immediately after waxing is normal and usually fades on its own. Do not re-wax the same spot right away if it feels sore. If the area becomes very red, does not settle, or you are unsure because of a skin condition, consult a specialist.
