After shampooing, gently squeeze excess water from your hair — it should be damp, not dripping. This lets the conditioner adhere to the fibre instead of sliding off. Dispense product based on length and thickness: roughly a 10-cent coin for short hair, a walnut for medium, two walnuts for long or very thick hair. Rub between palms to warm and emulsify, then smooth down from ears to ends, focusing on the oldest, most damaged sections. Do not massage into the scalp. Let it sit for 2–3 minutes; this gives the fatty acids time to penetrate the cuticle gaps and the antioxidants to settle on the surface. For stubborn knots, keep a wide-tooth comb in the shower and comb gently from ends upward while the product is in — this distributes it evenly and prevents breakage. Rinse with lukewarm to cool water until the hair feels clean but not squeaky; a slight slip means a protective film remains. If you air-dry, scrunch lengths upward to encourage natural texture; if you blow-dry, the smoothed cuticle will cut drying time and reduce frizz.
