What's the difference between using this serum and a regular conditioner or hair mask, and can I use them together?

Regular conditioners and hair masks are typically rinse-off treatments applied in the shower after shampooing. They are designed for intensive conditioning during the wash process and are then rinsed out, leaving some residual benefits. This serum, however, is a leave-in treatment. This means you apply it to towel-dried or dry hair, and the conditioning agents—like hydrolyzed keratin, argan extract, and panthenol—remain on the hair surface. This provides ongoing detangling aid, frizz control, shine, and a smoother feel throughout the day without being washed away. The leave-in format makes it particularly useful as a finishing step for managing dry ends, reducing static, and adding polish after styling. You can absolutely use them together in a routine. A common approach is to use your regular conditioner or a weekly hair mask in the shower for deep hydration and repair, then follow with a small amount of this serum on the mid-lengths and ends after towel-drying. This combines the intensive, rinse-off treatment with the lasting, surface-level benefits of the serum. For very dry or damaged hair, this layered approach can be especially effective. Just be mindful not to over-apply the serum if your conditioner is already rich, to avoid potential buildup, particularly on finer hair types.
